For 32 seasons, Rich Graves went about his passion in the dugouts of the Inland Empire wearing the uniform of the Riverside Poly Bears and the King High School Wolves. From his native San Diego to Fresno State to the Air Force and then to Riverside, Rich was a true competitor.

    For 32 seasons, Rich Graves went about his passion in the dugouts of the Inland Empire wearing the uniform of the Riverside Poly Bears and the King High School Wolves. From his native San Diego to Fresno State to the Air Force and then to Riverside, Rich was a true competitor. During his tenure as a head coach in games against the very best local competition, his teams reached the CIF playoffs twenty times and won ten league championships. Rich is the second winningest baseball coach in Riverside County history with 426 wins. He has sent numerous players into the collegiate and professional ranks and his former assistant coaches and peers cite his leadership and coaching influence as major factors in their success.  “There is a certain class of coaches that stand above the rest”, said one local coach, “and he is definitely in that class.” Rich was a leader in the development of the Area Code Games in Southern California, was one of the selection chairs for the National Sunbelt High School All Star Classic and has been an associate scout for the Kansas City Royals and the San Francisco Giants. He has been recognized for his achievements with awards from the California Interscholastic Federation and the California Baseball Coaches Association.
