    John:
Congratulations on your many accomplishments at UC Riverside! I had lost track of you over the years but knew that you had coached basketball at UCR for awhile. Are you retired now or are you still working? Beat regards, Chuck

John & I played sandlot ball at Monroe Elementary school in Riverside, Ca. in the late 50's, early 60's. His running mate was "Moose". They went to a Catholic school at the time, if I remember correctly.
My father was in the Air Force & I left Riverside in 1963. But I always remembered John & Moose & the highly competitive games we played. John used to get so very mad at some of my antics on the court. I was two or three years older than John & I'm sure I took advantage of that. Dick Barton, who I haven't seen in over 50 years, also played with us.
John, if you remember me send me an e-mail or give me a call at 775-560-1061. Would love to talk to you. Dennis Gilman
