Sonny: As a good friend of Dean Baron, and a ’68 ECVHS alumnus, I am VERY proud of you. CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thanks Joe. I know your name and trying to think if we have ever met. Buckskin is my little brother. When our brothers died we adopted one another.
Saw your website and I would like to commend you for your work. I’m scared and afraid FOR OUR COUNTRY. We are not in good hands and with leaky borders we are so vulnerable. Keep up the good work and may God Bless you and your organization. Sonny
Congratulations to a fellow El Cajon Valley High School Alumni. Sonny, you deserve this and we in El Cajon are very proud of you.
Thank you. We tried to find away to get together with the ECVHS bunch. It just didn”t workout. Was in San Diego for an afternoon and part of Sat. I have a aunt that is 91 and I spent sometime with her and then had lunch with John and Barb. Trying to arrange a trip back in Oct. if all works out. I have a 50 year reunion for our 1961 Fresno St Team and then I would like to come to El Cajon and see ya’ll. Time is drawing near ansd I have such fond memories of my high school days and all the kids I remember so well! Thanks again for the note Sonny
Way to go, Sonny. Very proud.
Thank you Bill. I had the good fortune to play on good teams, with good players, good coaches and stay reasonably healthy. It’s strange how God works things out in your life aqnd you don’t realize it til much later.
Sonny,
You obviously improved greatly from the time we beat on each other.. LOL
Congratulations for having a great career in our favorite game…
You were a great teamate
Take care and good health to you..
John
Thanks John. You left enough of me that I could go on and improve. Trying to get to El cajon in October and will let Joe R or Ron P. know. I would love to see everyone again. 1957 was a longtime ago and I need to make it happen.
CONGRATULATIONS SONNY, YOUR OLD FRIENDS AND TEAMMATES FROM EL CAJON ARE VERY PROUD OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
Joel, I sure have fond memories of you and all the others that I shared those
“good old days” with. I heard about Ernie Ruiz and was shocked. I have had my bout with colon cancer and feel God has a plan for me and was not ready to call me home. Hope to see everyone in Oct. Sonny
Congrats!!! You other brother….
Great to here from you “little brother”. I simply need to go to Montana.
I pray that we can work it and the Lord will make it happen. Sonny
Way to go Sonny! I remember you playing at ECVHS. You make us all very proud as alumni of that school. The best to you always.
Thank you Dottie What a great time we had at ECVHS. Those were the days.
I loved every minute of my stay in El Cajon. That area was so beautiful in the 50′s. Hope things are well with you and thank you for responding. It was always an honor to mention El Cajon as my home town and not San Diego Sonny
Congratulations Sonny! I was running track at ECVHS and Riverside City when you were excelling at football. This brings back good memories of the past.
Doug, I remember your track days well. I had forgotten that you went to RCC. What year or years did you go to RCC. Went to all the home meets in 1956 and even went out in 1957. Tried to run the 440 and found out just what poor condition I was in. Jack Wofford was our #1 guy that year. Remember you running the 100, 220 aqnd relaqy. Those were the days! Thanks for responding, it sure is good hearing from old teamates and schoolmates. Sonny
Thanks Doug. My memory is sure getting bad. You went to RCC? I sure remember your track days at El Cajon. Went out for tyrack my senior year and it sure helped my speed. I liked Joe Brooks
HI SONNY. CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS WELL DESERVED HONOR. JUST POSTED A NOTE TO RICH RAMERIZ WHO IS ALSO AN INDUCTEE AS I PLAYED BASEBALL THERE WITH HIM BEFORE MOVING ON TO UCLA.
